John Ashborne No. 6 for William Hall & Sons

This is one of four known examples of the highest grade guitar John Ashborne produced in the 1850's for sale by the William Hall & Sons music stores in New York City.

This is perhaps the most intricate of the known examples, with others having a somewhat more stark and geometric trim in two colors.
